Richie Tomlinson

Business Development Manager

My name is Richie and my role at SEO Premier is Business Development Manager, which means my days generally include managing client requests, delegating tasks and assisting the growth of the business by bringing on board new clients.

What’s your morning ritual to set you up for a productive day?
Head to the gym, then get into work early for scrambled eggs on toast and a Berocca. Check emails from the night before and try to prioritise jobs for the day ahead without procrastinating too much.

Your favourite thing about your job is…
The great team we have, everyone gets on really well and makes the time fly by. No day is the same either which I like, there is always something new and exciting to launch into and try to get the most out of.

Where do you want to be in five years?
Considering how much the business has grown over the last 24 months in particular, it’s really hard to predict how much things will have changed in five years. Our industry is rapidly changing as well, and ‘online marketing’ could mean something completely different in a few years; hopefully whatever the case I’m still a part of SEO Premier with a few new faces and all the same old ones.

What’s your favourite way to unwind after a killer week at work?
My partner Jess and I have a small horse* called Kaiser that we ride around the streets, and that’s great for unwinding after a big day/week. There’s also nothing like having a few cold ones on the couch watching the NQ Cowboys beat whatever team they’re up against.
* Small horse is in fact a large dog.

How did you get to where you are now at SEO Premier?
In my final year of uni we had an internship unit so I applied for the Digital Account Executive role at a small company called SEO Premier. That then turned into full time work after graduating and I’m now verging on four years of loyal service!

If you could have any other job what would it be?
Wouldn’t mind working in the K9 Unit for the police, or for that matter anything with dogs (as long as it pays ridiculously well).
